A sole practitioner Architect based in Sussex, I established my practice in the late 1980's.

From the outset my work has been mainly residential but I have also designed commercial, medical, office and light industrial buildings.

As well as individual private houses, residential projects have included flats and housing developments, sheltered and older person housing and affordable housing.

Developments have ranged from 2 or 3 houses right up to my collaboration with other Architects and consultants in the regeneration project at North Street Quarter in Lewes, with over 400 houses, commercial space and infrastructure development.

My approach to each commission is one of total immersion wherever possible, ideally taking the project right through from inception to completion. Through the process I develop a deep and clear understanding of Client requirements and this informs the evolution of the design through the whole planning and construction process.

The outcome of each project is distinct, developed from the brief and context, but always seeks to provide comfort, sanctuary and shelter.

Consistent themes include spatial design using volume and light, relationships between structures and landscape, and the sustainable and considered use of materials, colour and texture.
